Best POS Systems in Qatar (2026): 9 Options Compared on Published Pricing

The best POS system in Qatar is not the most expensive terminal or the cheapest subscription. It is the system that fits your business type (restaurant, retail, salon, grocery), accepts NAPS debit cards and credit cards at rates you know before you sell, keeps working when the internet drops, and ties the till to your inventory, online store and invoices instead of leaving you to reconcile them at month end. On those criteria we compared the nine systems a Qatar business owner actually meets in Google results and on Google Maps.
The short answer
- A full operating system at cashier prices: ThreeU from QAR 449/month includes the POS, an online store, ERP (inventory, invoices, payroll) and CRM, and works offline on Windows, iPad and Android.
- Payments and hardware from one provider with every fee published: SADAD (NAPS 1.1%, local Visa/Mastercard 2.2% + QAR 0.5, SoftPOS with no upfront cost).
- A local restaurant cashier, fast to deploy: Wasl POS at QAR 299 or QAR 799 per month.
- Strongest on-the-ground reviews: Qsale (4.9 from 327 Google reviews), Infocart (5.0 from 554) and First Source Technology (4.9 from 46), all quote-based.
- Cheapest published cloud subscription for restaurants: DineOpen from $20/month.

Daftra, PosBytz and iBOS also show up in Qatar results: Daftra advertises on Arabic cashier searches, and the other two sell by quote within 24 hours. We list no figures for them because they publish no Qatar prices. Telecom operators also bundle POS devices for business customers, priced by quote.
Cashier vs POS: what you are actually buying
A cashier is a device that records a sale and prints a receipt. A POS system is the software that manages products, stock, staff, discounts and reports and connects them to your online store and accounting. You can spend QAR 2,000 on a terminal and still have no system, or subscribe to a system that runs on the tablet you already own. Our rule: choose the system first; the hardware follows. The full checklist is in how to choose a POS system in Qatar.
The criteria that decide it
1. Your business type first
- Restaurants and cafés: kitchen display, tables, order modifiers, online ordering. See best restaurant POS in Doha.
- Retail and fashion: barcodes, sizes and colours, returns, one stock shared with the store, Noon and Amazon. See POS for retail shops.
- Salons and clinics: bookings, staff commissions, packages. See salon and clinic system.
- Grocery and mini-markets: weights, expiry dates, scanning speed. See grocery and supermarket system.
Restaurant specialists (Wasl, Foodics, DineOpen) are not built for retail, and the reverse is also true. ThreeU runs sector modes from the same dashboard.
2. Card fees before subscription fees
A shop selling QAR 100,000 a month, half by card, pays QAR 550 at 1.1% and QAR 1,100 at 2.2%. SADAD publishes its rates; most other systems point you to the payment provider you connect (SADAD, Tess or SkipCash). The full breakdown is in payment gateway fees in Qatar.
3. Offline mode
Insist on sales continuing during an outage with automatic sync of invoices and stock afterwards. Ask the vendor to unplug the router during the demo.
4. One stock for every channel
The item sold at the counter must disappear from the online store and from Noon and Amazon at the same moment. Separate systems sell what you no longer have. See inventory management software in Qatar.
5. Invoices ready for e-invoicing
Qatar is moving to e-invoicing in phases and advisory firms expect mandatory adoption to begin in 2027. Require sequentially numbered invoices that export cleanly today. See e-invoicing in Qatar.
6. A published all-in price
Wasl, SADAD, Foodics, DineOpen and ThreeU publish prices. Local distributors sell by quote; ask for a written quote that itemises licences, kitchen screens, training, support and payment integration.
A quick look at each system
ThreeU: a Qatar platform licensed through the Qatar Financial Centre and an accredited service provider on Qatar Development Bank's Reyada platform. The POS is part of the plan together with the store, inventory, invoices, payroll, CRM and AI-managed ads. Hardware is optional from the hardware page; plans are explained in ThreeU pricing explained.
SADAD: Qatar's longest-established payment provider with a fully published fee card, selling terminals and SoftPOS. Inventory, online store and online orders need a system on top, which is why ThreeU connects its POS to SADAD rather than competing with it.
Wasl POS: a Doha-built restaurant cashier with two clear plans and a three-day go-live promise. Restaurants only.
Qsale, Infocart and First Source: three local vendors that win on Google Maps reviews (327, 554 and 46 reviews at 4.9 to 5.0). Their strength is installation and in-person support; ask about online ordering, the web store and cloud reporting.
Foodics: the best-known regional restaurant POS, priced in Saudi riyals with no Qatar page. Full comparison.
DineOpen: the cheapest published cloud subscription for restaurants, with SADAD terminal integration.
Odoo POS: part of Odoo, usually implemented through a local partner; excellent for companies that want a global ERP with a technical team, expensive for anyone who needs a till working tomorrow. Odoo vs ThreeU.

FAQ
What is the best POS system in Qatar? For a merchant who wants the till, an online store and business management in one subscription: ThreeU from QAR 449/month. For payments and hardware from one provider with published rates: SADAD. For small restaurants on the lowest cost: DineOpen or Wasl POS. For a local vendor with strong field reviews: Qsale or Infocart.
How much does a POS system cost in Qatar? Published subscriptions start at $20/month for restaurants (DineOpen), QAR 299 (Wasl POS) and QAR 449 for a full platform (ThreeU). SADAD adds a QAR 399 setup fee and a refundable QAR 1,000 deposit for a terminal. Add card fees on every transaction.
Which POS is best for a small shop in Qatar? One that runs on the tablet you already own, accepts NAPS and Apple Pay, and links stock to your online store and WhatsApp. Small shops lose more to disconnected systems than to the subscription.
Do I need to buy a POS terminal? Not necessarily. The software runs on your devices; cash drawers, printers and customer displays are added when needed. See the hardware page.
Does the POS work without internet? ThreeU does, with automatic sync when the connection returns. Ask every vendor the same question and test it in the demo.
